June 22 - July 10 (no camp July 3)
Session III
July 13 - July 31

Do you have a budding talent in your house? Someone who sings, dances, acts or is just full of energy, imagination and creativity? Well, this is the perfect opportunity for the YOUNG AT ART! We’ll teach basic acting, dance, singing, performance and production skills, then combine these skills with a dazzling theatrical performance for parents and fans. Don’t let your budding talent miss this exciting opportunity to take those first steps to Broadway – a production-oriented workshop. Each session features a new and different production theme, so enroll in more than one!

Attention parents: Parents are expected to bring students to the appointed drop off location no more than fifteen minutes before start time. Students must be picked up within fifteen minutes after the end of camp day. Chronic lateness in picking up your child may be billed at the rate of $15.00 for each 30 minutes. Due to the many obligations of our teachers and directors, we stress the importance of timely pick-up.

NOTE: Participants are not allowed to bring guests to the workshops. Friends and/or relatives who are enrolled may or may not be placed in same group.

Volunteer Opportunities for Youth

TOPEKA YOUTH PLAYERS (ages 10-13)

Parents, this is a unique year-round performing arts and volunteering experience for youth with an interest in theater or performing. No experience is necessary, just a desire to meet new friends, feel a sense of belonging, learn new skills and a desire to give back to the community.

Like the Bath House Players, the Topeka Youth Players have their own shows, officers and committees. TYP has monthly meetings filled with amazing workshops, activities and special events. They also work onstage, backstage and the front of the house at Helen Hocker Theater.

TYP tentatively meets the 3rd Saturday of each month from 2-4pm. Interested? Call Joanna Lassley at 785-251-5990 to see about joining. You must be willing to commit not only your talent but your time as well. No fee.

BATH HOUSE PLAYERS (ages 14-18)

Bath House Players is an ensemble production company and all participants in 2014 are highly encouraged to participate in the technical aspects of both productions. Bring your sack lunch, M-F, 9am-4pm, Helen Hocker Theater.
